Trunk or Treat

"Tut, Tut, it looks like rain!" We decorated our car using blue balloons, umbrellas and a bee of course for the "Trunk or Treat."

Winnie the Pooh dictated our costumes this year. As her daddy put it, we will not let a two year old dictate our halloween costumes in the future, no matter how creative it might be. As you can see we were a recreation of "I'm just a little black rain cloud..." starring Mommy the hunny tree, Lucy the angry bee, Amelia the Pooh, and Daddy as Christopher Robin. If daddy had his choice he would have been the Spanish Inquisition this year... maybe next halloween.

Before the Party

Lucy the Bumble Bee wasn't very happy. As Pooh says, "This was the wrong sort of bee..."
"You, with the pot of hunny, FREEZE!" Winnie the Pooh couldn't wait to go trick or treating... lets just say there was a rumbly in her tumbly. However when we said it was time to go to the church, she stated, "No I don't want to go to Church! I want to go to a party!!" It was tears the whole way there until she saw the kids, saw the candy and realized the party was AT the church.

Transcendental Blogging

Basically this is a post to tell you about a post about a post that some one else made.

Weird but true.

Mother Dear

Below are some pictures of Big Sister being the little mom that she is. She helps bathe Baby2 , Calls mommy's sling the "kangaroo pouch" and on her own attepted to get her "binky dolly" into it. I tightened it for her, but the idea was her own. She also has been charged by the diaper for how many diapers we've found around the house after failed attempts to diaper her dolls. Well the last picture was what we thought was a very sucessful diapering! In fact, we may have her doing her sister's diapers pretty soon! :) She's definetly the little mom around here.

Mommy tries her hand at blogging

Milk, it REALLY does a body good!First official bath
Baby2 lost her umbilical cord the natural way (in contrast to her sister who kicked her's off on day 4) so at 3 weeks old the last of the cord was gone and she got to finally have a real bath, good buy sponge baths!!

Baby2 is one month old! Time flys so fast. She's bigger and stronger every day and big sister loves her to pieces.

Thanks Auntie!
It was an incredible task to find crib bedding that coordinated with big sister's bed, and thanks to their wonderful aunt the perfect bedding was found. Their room is full of pinks and greens now and the crib finally feels complete.

Now and Then, part 3

When our first was born is was just a couple days before father's day. As we approached June of 2005 my wife would ask me what I wanted for father's day. I insisted that all I wanted was to be a father for father's day. The due date was 11 days before father's day so it seemed like a sure thing, but the baby was a week late and just barely came before father's day.

Here is me with sleeping baby #1.
This time around the baby arrived three weeks before mother's day. We hadn't figured this baby quite so closely with mother's day because the due day was in a different month and my wife was not waiting until May to have this baby.

The proud mother and sleeping baby #2.
We wanted to get mom and both girls in the mother's day shot, but one wouldn't cooperate. In the end we got two of three in two different shots, maybe we should photoshop them all together.

Pictures for Grandpa

Neither of her Grandfather have seen the new baby yet. We thought they might like some more pictures. Note the fuzzy haired picture of her. That is the typical state of her hair.

Also these are as large as they can get so they might be a while to view the full size images. That is if you click on them it might take a while to load the big ones.

Status

"Mother and baby are doing fine."

I forgot to post that the first day. Talking to a coworker I didn't realize I hadn't posted it. It is sort of required to say that after the birth. Unless there are problem, of course.

Work has been very busy this week in addition to a couple of busy little girls at home. The end result is that I haven't been able to post as many pictures as I wanted to. So I will post a slew of pictures this weekend.

Now and Then, part 2

With our first child the trip to the hospital was scheduled. My wife was a week over due and had an appointment to be induced set for noon. She woke up early that morning with mild contractions that occurred every 7-15 minutes until they stopped around 10 AM. So we hung out that morning and played video games. Then we picked up our bags and went to the hospital. We had time to pose for a picture before leaving.

Then
On Monday my wife went to her OB visit in the morning with no change from the week before. This was surprising because she had experienced 6 days of mild contractions (I posted about those last week). Then at 2:30 PM she wakes up from a nap with strong contractions and they got worse there. She called me at work at 3 and I rushed home. We had time to hesitate for a picture before we ran out the door.

Home again, home again, jiggety-jog

We all arrive home safely. Our oldest was a bit too excited to see her tiny baby sister come home we had to take her for a walk to calm down. She missed her mommy.

I get to go sleep after I put together the basinet. When I get up tomorrow morning we'll see if I go to work. Don't worry my wife has her mom here to help. I will take some time off work in a couple weeks.

Two Little Sisters

Give the baby loves!
Welcome home, baby.
Good night, Baby.

Coming Home Today

We are coming home from the Hospital today. I have to run back and pick them up.

Tiny Baby is so tired she has slept most of her first 24 hours of life (5:18 is coming up shortly, we are on California time here). It will be fun to get to know her after she starts being awake more. The good news is that her mother and I got 4 hours of sleep at the hospital last night.

First Pictures

Hello Baby.

Yes, she has hair.

Good night, baby.

On second thought...
(I am not sure why two of the pictures don't let you click on them.)
